Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add bay leaves, cumin seeds add onions and saute till lightly coloured.
3 Onions, 1 Bay leaf, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp Cumin seeds
Chop garlic and ginger and add.
10-12 Garlic cloves, 1 inch Ginger piece
Break green chillies and add and saute.

Add turmeric powder and saute. Transfer mixture into a jar let it cool.

Meanwhile cut paneer (cottage cheese) into squares.
200 gms Cottage cheese
Grind the onion mixture with about 1/2 cup water.
Heat 1 tsp oil in another non-stick pan and add cumin seeds and bay leaf and saute till lightly coloured. Add the ground mixture and continue to saute.

Add dried mango powder and salt and mix.
Dried mango powder, 1/2 tsp Salt to taste
Add 1/2 cup water, 1 1/2 cups cream and mix. Add paneer pieces, half the crushed peppercorns and green cardamom powder and mix well.
1 1/2 cup Cream, Black peppercorns, 1 pinch Green cardamom powder
Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with remaining crushed black peppercorns and coriander leaves and serve hot.
