Spiced Broccoli Stir-Fry with Yogurt

- 300 gms broccoli cut into pieces
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- ¼ tsp nigella seeds kalonji
- 1 onion chopped
- ½ bell pepper yellow red, or green (shimla mirch)
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tomatoes chopped
- 1 pinch Asafoetida (hing)
Sauté the Spices
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and kalonji. Stir until they start popping.

Add asafoetida (hing) and chopped onions. Sauté until the onions turn soft and golden.

Add the Vegetables & Spices
Toss in bell pepper and sauté for a minute.

Add chopped tomatoes and let them soften.

Stir in turmeric, garam masala, and coriander powder. Mix well.

Finish with Yogurt & Simmer
Remove from heat and stir in yogurt to prevent curdling.

Return the pan to heat, add ¼ cup water, and bring to a gentle boil.

Add steamed broccoli, mix well, and let it simmer for 5 minutes until the flavors blend.
