Spiced Broccoli Stir-Fry with Yogurt – A Flavorful & Healthy Twist!

Looking for a healthy, quick, and flavorful Indian-style broccoli recipe? This spiced broccoli stir-fry combines the crunch of broccoli and bell peppers with the warm flavors of garam masala, turmeric, and nigella seeds (kalonji). The addition of yogurt creates a rich, creamy texture that balances the spices beautifully.

This recipe is inspired by Indian home-style cooking, where simple ingredients turn everyday vegetables into something delicious. Broccoli, though not traditionally used in Indian cuisine, absorbs the spices well and pairs perfectly with roti, paratha, or even rice.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

✔ Quick & Easy – Ready in 20 minutes, making it a perfect weeknight meal.
✔ Healthy & Nutritious – Packed with fiber, protein, and vitamins from broccoli, bell peppers, and yogurt.
✔ Low-Carb & Gluten-Free – A great option for those on a healthy diet.
✔ Authentic Indian Flavors – Uses mustard seeds, turmeric, and garam masala for that bold taste.

Serving Suggestions

  • Pair with roti, paratha, or naan for a comforting meal.
  • Serve over steamed basmati rice for a light, healthy lunch.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lemon juice for extra flavor.

Cooking Tips & Substitutions

✔ For extra protein, add paneer, tofu, or chickpeas to the dish.
✔ Want it spicier? Add red chili powder or green chilies while sautéing onions.
✔ Don’t overcook broccoli – it should remain slightly crunchy for the best texture.
✔ For a vegan version, replace yogurt with coconut milk or cashew paste.
