Ingredients
  

  • 6 Slices of Bread white, wheat, or sourdough
  • 1 Carrot grated
  • 1 Potato grated
  • 1 Cucumber grated
  • 1 Tbsp Cabbage grated
  • 1 Bell pepper capsicum, grated
  • 1 Tbsp Grated Cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or vegan cheese for a dairy-free option
  • 1 Tbsp Cornflour cornstarch
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Tbsp Black Pepper
  • Salt to Taste
  • Pinch of Red Chili Flakes for a spicy kick (Optional)
  • Ketchup or Chili Garlic Sauce for serving
  • 1 tbsp Butter or Olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Veggie Power: In a pan, melt butter (or use a little olive oil) and saute all the grated vegetables for 3-4 minutes, until softened slightly.
    1 Carrot, 1 Potato, 1 Cucumber, 1 Tbsp Cabbage, 1 tbsp Butter or Olive oil, 1 Bell pepper
  • Creamy Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the cornflour and milk until smooth. Add this mixture to the vegetables, stirring continuously.
    1 Tbsp Cornflour, 1 Cup Milk
  • Season it Up: Add salt, pepper, and grated cheese to the pan. If desired, include a pinch of red chili flakes for a touch of heat. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
    1 Tbsp Grated Cheese, 1/2 Tbsp Black Pepper, Salt to Taste, Pinch of Red Chili Flakes
  • Toast Time: Preheat your oven to 200 ℃. Pile the creamy vegetable mixture onto each bread slice. Bake the toast for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is golden brown and crispy.
